Now Open: 2025 Applications for Sponsored NREF Course Participation
In partnership with AASNS, FLANC, and CAANS, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF) are offering a unique opportunity for neurosurgery residents from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC) and Low-Income Countries (LIC).
Each society will sponsor one resident annually to attend a prestigious NREF course in 2026.
Application Deadline: November 1, 2025
Notification of Selected Applicants: January 2026
Current neurosurgery residents in training within LMIC/LIC (Check the World Bank list)
Must submit:
CV
Letter confirming residency status
Personal statement on how the course will enhance your training
